Back in black and white: The Touareg Monochrome

• New special Touareg model adds unique visual and technological features

Sydney, Volkswagen Australia has today introduced a new stylish addition to its family of Touareg SUVs: the Touareg Monochrome.

With an RRP of $74,990, the Touareg Monochrome offers unique styling and additional equipment over the Touareg 150TDI.

The special Monochrome model is instantly recognisable on the road with unique badging, black exterior body elements which include mirror caps, lower front grille and roof rails, as well as dark tinted LED taillights and 19-inch 'Moab' alloy wheels. On the inside, the Monochrome keeps things understated with a two-tone black and Moonrock Grey Vienna leather interior trim and ventilated front seats, complimented by brushed aluminium and piano black dashboard inserts, and a Titanium Black headliner.

The Touareg Monochrome also boasts additional specification above the standard 150TDI model, featuring Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Assist with City Emergency Braking, Proactive Occupant Protection, keyless access and start, an electric tailgate, a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters and tinted (65%) rear windows.

In keeping with the car's name, the Monochrome can be had in just three hues: Pure White, the metallic Canyon Grey and the pearlescent Deep Black. Already laden with a host of premium features, there are no options available for this model.
