Record breaking Volkswagen Amarok

ID.4 Australian tour.

The One Million Trees Project in the Eurardy Nature Reserve in Western Australia will receive $250,000 dollars and a project to restore 400 hectares in the Scottsdale Reserve in New South Wales will receive $750,000 dollars. "Although the world has been ravaged by the COVID 19 pandemic since the fires earlier this year, Volkswagen remains committed to supporting bush fire relief and restoration," said Michael Bartsch, Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Australia. Bush Heritage Australia is an independent, not-for-profit national organisation that acquires and manages land and works with indigenous people to protect the local flora and fauna. Bush Heritage owns 37 nature reserves covering an area of 1.24 million hectares. Through its 25 Aboriginal partnerships, the organisation supports the management of an additional 10.1 million hectares.

With the widest range of AWD vehicles of any popular manufacturer, Volkswagen is showcasing the breadth of its 4MOTION all-wheel drive range with the ultimate test of traction – the icy pans of the Southern Hemisphere Proving Ground in Queenstown, NZ, and the sweeping bends of Highlands Motorsport Park.

Volkswagen has a 4MOTION vehicle for every purpose, with almost 50 per cent of the brand's Australian customers – from small passenger cars to the biggest commercial vehicle – opting for vehicles featuring these all-wheel-drive systems.

Volkswagen Australia has today unveiled the fruits of its industry-wide collaboration project, dubbed the ART3on: a track-ready customised Arteon Art Car, built by a team of Volkswagen apprentices and mentors from the Australian automotive aftermarket industry. The car has been built as part of Volkswagen Australia's second-ever Apprentice Build Challenge, which sees a small cohort of high-achieving Volkswagen apprentices selected to take on a unique build designed to test their skills and offer them invaluable industry experience not available in a typical automotive apprenticeship.

Volkswagen's apprentice-built Amarok V6 has completed a blazing hot lap of Mount Panorama in 2 minutes, 57.24 seconds, piloted by race driver Renato Loberto. The race-ready uber ute set tongues wagging on the Mountain as it pushed speeds well in excess of 200km/h.
