Sydney, 23-04-2024 – CUPRA is enticing its newest tribe members as it passes 5,000 sales in Australia, with the young Barcelona brand introducing the CUPRA Leon V Tribe Edition.
Priced from $47,888 drive-away, the first Tribe Edition is based on the purest expression of CUPRA's focus on driving enthusiasts and driving dynamics, adding a host of design-focused additions and standard equipment to the entry Leon V.
The Leon V Tribe Edition stands out with 18" black and copper alloy wheels, complemented by a black rear spoiler extension and dark aluminium finish for the side skirts.
A design highlight on the inside of the Tribe Edition is the first-time availability in the Leon V of petrol blue Nappa leather seats, featuring front seat heating and driver's seat power adjustment with memory settings as standard. The soft-touch upper dashboard is also trimmed in petrol blue with stylish stitching, matching the flagship Leon VZx.
Dark alloy pedals and 9-speaker premium Beats audio round out the Leon V Tribe Edition package.
CUPRA Australia director Ben Wilks said one of Australia's newest challenger brands is focused on building further its local tribe with the Leon V Tribe Edition.
"CUPRA is a young brand built around design, dynamics and technology, and the first Tribe Edition delivers additional exclusive highlights and features to complement the purist dynamics of our Leon V," Mr Wilks said.
"Even our entry Leon V comes with turbocharged power, progressive steering and dynamic chassis control, so we thought why not create an Australian-exclusive limited edition that adds more design and equipment highlights to our most accessible hot hatch," he added.
"Our aim is to continue growing the CUPRA Tribe with this Leon V Tribe Edition – and there will be more of these special editions to follow."
The CUPRA Leon V is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 140kW of power and 320Nm of torque, a standard seven-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG), and the comfort and handling balance of an 18-inch wheel and tyre package.
Other standard equipment on both the Leon V and Leon V Tribe Edition includes LED headlights with Light Assist, 12" touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, 10.25" digital driver display, keyless access, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, 3-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, rear view camera and Side Assist with rear traffic alert.
The CUPRA Leon V retails from $49,190 drive-away, marking a $1,302 reduction for the CUPRA Leon V Tribe Edition.
