What's New From 2020?

ANCAP RESCUE app launched to protect first responders and save lives. B-roll footage of a road crash rescue.

Mark Terrell, Chief Technical Officer ANCAP Safety, Rhianne Robson, Director Communications & Advocacy, ANCAP Safety and Clayton Allison, Acting Inspector - Operational Capability, Fire & Rescue NSW and explain the ANCAP Rescue App.

The ANCAP RESCUE app provides first responders with critical vehicle safety information by identifying the location of in-vehicle hazards, and allowing the extrication of vehicle occupants involved in a crash to be conducted safely.

Car sharing service, GoGet, has joined with independent vehicle safety authority, ANCAP SAFETY, to remind employers and employees to make safer choices when using a vehicle for work. Around 1 in 4 of all trips taken on Australia's roads each year are made by employees driving as part of their routine employment. While many organisations – big and small – now have established policies which require the use of 5 star ANCAP safety rated fleet vehicles, an aspect which is regularly overlooked is the use of generally older, less safe private vehicles for work purposes.
