Kumho Tyre's HP71 has won the prestigious 2017 Red Dot Award For Product Design. With this year's win, Kumho tyre has now been awarded by a Red Dot Product Design Award for six consecutive years, reinforcing Kumho's global leadership in tyre design.

Organised by the International Forum Design of Germany, the 64-year-old Red Dot Awards is recognised as the pinnacle for design and business recognition globally. Winners are selected through a comprehensive screening process that assesses innovation, environmental friendliness, quality, functionality and convenience as well as design.

"Six consecutive years is an impressive achievement for the brand," explained David Basha, Head of Marketing, Kumho Australia.

"This is another great accolade on the back of recognition for our Australian Designed MT51, which also took out a Red Dot Award in late 2016."

In 2016, Kumho took out the Red Dot Award for the Road Venture MT51 tyre. Designed with both onroad and offroad use in mind, the MT51 was tested in harsh conditions, and on rough terrain throughout the Australian outback.

With it's mild MT design for rocky conditions, the MT51 tyre is the perfect option for commuters and 4wd lovers alike, thanks to the tyre's ability to conquer both tarmac and trails comfortably.
