GWM Australia is pleased to announce a new addition to its local New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup with the Haval Jolion Hybrid.
First shipments have already landed with more currently making their way to Australia ahead of an official start of sales in early September. Joining the larger Haval H6 Hybrid, the Jolion Hybrid becomes GWM's second offering in an NEV range which is expected to grow further in 2023.
Power is delivered via GWM's 1.5L Hybrid engine mated to the Dedicated Hybrid Transmission DHT to deliver combined outputs of 139kW of power and 375Nm of torque. Fuel economy is a low 5 litres per 100km using regular unleaded fuel.
GWM's DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) smart hybrid system combines a petrol engine and electric motor with an electronically controlled transmission to offer excellent acceleration and performance at low speeds with increased efficiency and power at higher speeds to deliver a driving experience similar to that of a BEV.
With the ability to operate in multiple drive modes including EV, Series, Parallel and Regeneration, GWM's DHT smart hybrid system has been designed to provide maximum efficiency across all speed and load conditions. With highly integrated and compact design for lighter weight, the DHT system also offers excellent reliability and NVH performance.
Priced at $40,990 Driveaway, the Jolion Hybrid is equipped with the same wide variety of premium interior, connectivity and safety features as the current Jolion Ultra but sets itself apart with a new front grille, new front LED and fog lights with blue accents, a new front bumper, new rear spoiler and new 18-inch alloy wheels.
GWM's ongoing commitment to delivering the safest vehicles possible is underlined by the extensive array of active safety standard on the Jolion Hybrid which includes Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian, cyclist and crossroads detection, Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection & Lane Change Assist, Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).
See the end of this release for a full list of features.
Like all GWM products, the new Haval Jolion Hybrid is backed by a 7-year / unlimited km warranty, 5-years roadside assistance and 5-years Capped Price Servicing.
GWM's sales in 2022 are now 11.6% ahead of the same period last year. The Haval Jolion had made a significant contribution with YTD sales of 3769, a 185% increase on 2021.
Supply challenges that had been affecting GWM Australia for the last few months now look to be largely in the rear-view mirror and as such, the company expects another record sales performance in 2022 with total sales in excess of 20,000.
