Zetland, March 17th, 2022 –Audi Australia is announcing pricing and specification details for the return of the popular SQ7 and SQ8, powered for the first time by a TFSI engine . The new SQ7 and SQ8 offer the same incredible dynamics that set them beyond what is usually expected of a large SUV. Plentiful standard equipment, technology inclusions and items that provide ultimate comfort ensure that the SQ7 and SQ8 will continue to set the benchmark for sporty and luxurious large performance SUVs.
"The SQ7 and SQ8 are technology showcases for our brand, representing the pinnacle of luxury and performance SUVs," said Nick Reid, General Manager Marketing at Audi Australia.
"We are delighted to see them return to our range in Australia with a new TFSI dimension to their performance."
The new SQ7 and SQ8 TFSI models are now more powerful, accelerating faster than their predecessors. They combine proven first-class performance with a bi-turbo V8 TFSI powertrain, paired with a sporty exterior and futuristic interior comfort. Powered by a 4.0 TFSI V8 with twin turbochargers, the SQ7 and SQ8 TFSI are powerfully athletic, producing 373 kW of power and 770 Nm of torque, and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in an impressive 4.1 seconds. Strong efficiency is assured, at 12.2 L/100km (SQ8), thanks to Cylinder on Demand (CoD) technology that can deactivate four of the eight cylinders temporarily, allowing for greater efficiency while at cruising speeds.
Complementing the immense power, the SQ7 and SQ8 feature dynamic all-wheel steering and adaptive air suspension sport as standard for the perfect compromise between comfortable ride and dynamic performance. For those looking to further enhance the dynamic ability of the two, a Dynamic Package is available featuring quattro sport differential and electromechanical active roll stabilization – a truly revolutionary technology that affords extraordinary body control for such a vehicle.
The pair exude a sporty stance on the road, including S body styling such as S front and rear bumpers, grille, side sills and rear tailgate spoiler. Their bold presence is enhanced with 22" alloy wheels, red brake calipers, aluminium-look exterior mirrors, and Audi's archetypal Matrix LED headlights, featuring dynamic rear indicators (and HD matrix with laser light on SQ7). A panoramic sunroof, privacy glass, heated and folding side mirrors, power assisted door closure, and roof rails (only on the SQ7) are also included as standard.
This bold and luxe appearance is not limited to the exterior, with S-style luxuries and features finding their way into the spacious cabins of the pair. The new SQ7 and SQ8 TFSI feature Valcona leather upholstery with diamond patterned contrasting stitching and S sport front seats as standard, heated, electronically adjustable (and with driver memory for the SQ8) with 4-way lumber support included. These generous comforts are combined with ambient elements, including a colour interior ambient lighting package and illuminated door sill trims with aluminium inlay and S emblem as standard.
Customers will also benefit from the latest driver assistance systems in addition to one of the highest levels of equipment and technology paired to an S model ever in Australia. Excellent connectivity and infotainment features abound, highlighted by the 10.1-inch haptic touch MMI navigation plus screen and 8.6-inch haptic touch screen for vehicle functions. The pair also features the Audi virtual cockpit, with a 12.3-inch high-resolution screen, Audi connect plus, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and a 17-speaker, 730 watt Bang & Olufsen 3D Sound system. For those wanting to enhance the ambience of their generously-sized interior, Sensory packages are available for both models.
The new SQ7 and SQ8 TFSI feature a multitude of advanced driver assistance safety systems including all-wheel steering and adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go and traffic jam assist. Visibility is not compromised in the vehicles' size, with 360 degree cameras with kerb view, front and rear parking sensors, Audi pre-sense front and pre-sense rear, Audi active lane, side, and cross traffic assist all equipped as standard.
While the new Audi SQ7 TFSI is arriving soon, the Audi SQ8 TFSI is expected to arrive in dealerships in May, 2022.
Like all new Audi vehicles delivered to Australian customers from January 1 2022, the SQ7 and SQ8 TFSI come with the peace-of-mind of a five-year warranty. Audi also provides a 12-year manufacturer warranty for bodywork against corrosion perforation for new vehicles.
Audi SQ7 and SQ8 TFSI customers can also purchase a comprehensive Audi five-year service plan package, priced at $4,100.
