Springwood, 19 February 2016 – James Frizelle's Automotive Group has officially opened its new $16 million Audi Centre Springwood at a gala evening for 500 guests.
The 3,000 square metre Audi Centre Springwood facility features a 17-vehicle new car showroom, display space for 24 pre-owned vehicles, and 16 service workshop bays. It is also one of the first Audi terminals in Australia to incorporate the brand's new high-performance Audi Sport 'corner' in-showroom presence, as well as the innovative Customer Private Lounge experiential space.
The new facility will service opportunity identified in the South Brisbane market, with the dealership fronting one of Queensland's busiest sections of road, the Pacific Motorway. More than 200,000 drivers use the Pacific Motorway each day, ensuring plenty of passing traffic.
"Queensland premium car buyers are demanding quality and convenience when they buy a car," said Audi Centre Springwood's General Manager, Tania Meli.
Premium vehicle sales are continuing to increase in Queensland, as more buyers take advantage of the highly competitive Australian market.
In 2015, German luxury carmaker Audi saw a stronger sales trend in the sunshine state than even the 20.1 percent national growth figure, delivering 27 percent more vehicles in Queensland than in the previous year.Ms Meli said new the dealership has recorded strong sales since it opened a temporary showroom a year ago, but was already seeing a significant benefit from the multi-million dollar permanent facility.
"Our new state-of-the-art facility first opened its doors on 5 December, and since then, our sales have already increased by 33 percent," Ms Meli said.
Audi Australia's Managing Director, Andrew Doyle, says that the brand has gone from strength to strength in Australia, and that the endorsement of Queensland customers was a strong contributor its success.
"Audi achieved its 11th year of consecutive sales growth in 2015 and over this time, the brand has increased its volume five-fold. We see Queensland, and in particular growing market areas like Springwood, as critical to our continued development," Mr Doyle said.
"New facilities like Audi Centre Springwood are opening as a result of our ongoing brand success, and not only will the new dealership help to drive up Audi's profile in Queensland, it will also cement our reputation for delivering best-in-class customer service," said Mr Doyle.
The James Frizelle's Automotive Group also recognises the importance of giving back to the local community. The new Springwood dealership created 70 job opportunities for the immediate region, and will also continue to support important community initiatives already established by management.
Audi ambassadors, Asher Keddie, Melissa Downes (Ch.9), Russell Ingall and Matt Moran all attended the event's official opening night last night.
The new Audi Centre Springwood is located at 3389 Pacific Highway, Springwood and will be run by Brett and Rebecca Frizelle as Dealer Principals, Tania Meli as General Manager, Marty Bordignon as Sales Manager and Craig Antliff as Service Manager.
