Byron Bay, October 11, 2019 – One of the most successful premium compact SUVs is returning in an all-new second-generation: the all-new Audi Q3 has arrived in Australia. In its first generation, more Q3s were delivered during its seven-year lifetime than any other competitor in its segment. And now Audi has raised the bar in all areas with the new model: it's bigger, more technically advanced and it brings a bold interpretation of the contemporary Audi design language.
The original Audi Q3 broke new ground in the premium compact SUV segment, when it arrived in Australia in 2012. Throughout its lifetime, it was one of the most popular vehicles in its class.
The all-new second-generation Audi Q3 sets an entirely new benchmark within its segment: it's bigger in almost all dimensions and, together with a 77mm longer wheelbase, offers significantly more interior space for occupants. The rear seat can be split 40:20:40, and slides fore/aft in a 150mm range. Boot space has increased by 70 litres, now up to 530 litres (1525 litres with the rear seats folded flat).
Infotainment and connectivity are real strengths of the new Q3, with several innovations that set it apart from its closest competitors. High-value Audi features like the virtual cockpit, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, DAB+ digital radio, natural language voice control and both USB-A and USB-C charging points front and rear are just the start.
Wireless functionality is where the all-new Audi Q3 really shines, equipped with wireless Apple Carplay technology, as well as Audi phone box light with wireless smartphone charging, dual simultaneous Bluetooth phone connection and also the innovative convenience of Audi connect plus.

The new Q3 also carries all the DNA of the latest Audi design language, with the iconic Singleframe grille at the front surrounded by a more chiselled array of air inlets and styling elements. Adaptive LED headlights feature as standard on the Q3, bringing a familiar sense of lighting sophistication that Audi is famous for. The quattro blisters and athletic shoulder line give the Q3 a nicely balanced stance on the road, finished off by raked D-pillar and long roof spoiler that gives the rear a distinctively dynamic look. Dynamic LED taillights complete the exterior lighting package.
The all-new Audi Q3 has been awarded a 5-star ANCAP safety rating, and comes equipped with an extensive array of driver assistance safety systems, like Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane change warning, rear cross-traffic assist, tyre pressure monitors, hill descent control, as well as a comprehensive suite of parking sensors and rear view camera. The Q3 is equipped with six airbags.
At market launch, the all-new Audi Q3 is available exclusively as the 35 TFSI model, powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 110kW and 250Nm. Mated to the smooth-shifting six-speed S tronic transmission that delivers power to the front wheels, strong performance and efficiency is assured. The Q3 reaches 100km/h from rest in 9.2 seconds, returning 7.2 litres per 100km. CO2 emissions are 164 grams per km.
Other engines will follow in the first-half of 2020, including a quattro all-wheel drive variant.
In addition to the key technology and driver assistance features, the new Q3 comes equipped with a generous level of equipment, including:

- Electric tailgate including gesture control
- Two-zone climate control
- Leather-appointed seat upholstery
- Ambient interior LED lighting package
- Contrasting lower metallic paint finish in Manhattan grey
Comfort and Style option packages are also available.
In addition, a special Launch Edition is available at market launch, including additional equipment highlights like 19-inch alloy wheels, metallic paint, privacy glass, folding exterior mirrors, high-output Audi sound system, auto dimming interior mirror, electric front seats with electric lumbar support, heated front seats, a 360-degree parking camera, as well as Adaptive cruise assist, with emergency assist.
The all-new Audi Q3 is on-sale now, with first customer deliveries expected to take place in November.
