Brisbane, December 5, 2016 – Audi Australia continues to support diverse cultural experiences, as the GOMA Turns 10 exhibition officially launched in Brisbane on Friday night.
Brisbane's Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) is celebrating 10 years by launching the GOMA Turns 10 exhibition.
Proudly presented by Audi, this special milestone was marked by the unveiling of a major new public artwork by Queensland Indigenous artist Judy Watson and the much anticipated opening of Sugar Spin: You, Me, Art and Everything.
"We pride ourselves on working with Australia's best, and over the past five years have supported GOMA as it established a global reputation for pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation," said Andrew Doyle, Managing Director of Audi Australia.
"During the course of this five-month exhibition, we'll be celebrating mutual values of performance and progressiveness, as we play our role in supporting this important contribution to the community of Queensland."
This is the fourth major exhibition that Audi has presented since first partnering with GOMA in 2012.
The German luxury carmaker has previously supported exhibitions including Cai Guo-Qiang's Falling Back to Earth in 2013, the popular Future Beauty in 2014 and the 8th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art in 2015.
QAGOMA Director Chris Saines is delighted to once again partner with principal sponsor Audi Australia for this unmissable milestone event.
"GOMA has been a force for cultural change, stimulating our audience's appetite for contemporary art and ideas. We can take pride in a decade of world class exhibitions and programs, and are delighted with Audi's continued support," Mr Saines said.
"Launched over the weekend, the GOMA Turns 10 program will run for five months, offering visitors of all ages a free, multi-faceted, sensory and participatory art experience.
"Not to be missed will be the GOMA Turns 10 Summer Festival from 18-22 January, 2017," he said.
