- Audi R8 Blink Experience secures Bronze award at Spikes Asia
- Spikes Asia is the leading advertising and marketing award for Asia Pacific region
- Campaign recognises key innovation brand values
Sydney, October 12, 2016 –The Audi R8 Blink Experience, an innovative interactive online concept used to launch the all-new Audi R8 earlier this year, has been presented with a coveted Bronze Award at Spikes Asia.
The premier advertising and marketing award show for the Asia-Pacific region, Spikes Asia attracts more than 5000 entries, showcasing some of the world's best advertising work across all media categories.
"As a company driven by technology and innovation, we are always keen to push the boundaries and explore new ways to market our vehicles," Audi Australia's General Manager of Marketing Kevin Goult said.
"With the Audi R8 Blink experience, we've done just that. We created a whole new way to look at the concept of high performance, in a manner that truly represents the brand's values of progressives and sophistication."
Produced by digital agency, Holler, the award-winning entry features exhilarating footage of the all-new Audi R8 sprinting down an airstrip. By measuring the number of times viewers blink through their webcams, the Audi website is able to measure each user's individual blink count, and provide a precise calculation of just how much of the drive that person would have missed simply by blinking.
As the judges clearly recognised, it's an approach as simple as it is original, and a unique way to convey to supercar enthusiasts how it might feel to drive the fastest car ever released by Audi.
