Australia, June 19, 2014 – The dynamic performance and secure handling of Audi's legendary quattro all-wheel drive technology is now more affordable, with a new Ambition model allowing entry into the A4 quattro range from $57,100*.
"Our Audi A4 quattro models are popular with Australian customers for their outstanding driveability, and for the confidence they inspire in inclement weather," said Kevin Goult, General Manager Marketing for Audi Australia.
"We want to deliver the right model for our customers at an attainable price, but with all of the standard features that they expect in an Audi A4. With the new Ambition quattro models, we have delivered a compelling proposition for luxury sedan buyers.
"The new A4 Ambition quattro entry price is also well positioned for customers considering an A3 Sedan, but who prefer a slightly larger vehicle. Many customers have already shown interest in this idea, and so we have recognised this and are now delighted to offer this very attractive model," said Mr Goult.
The A4 Ambition quattro is available with the powerful 2.0 TFSI petrol engine in both Sedan and Avant body styles, while the highly efficient 2.0 TDI is available only with the Sedan. The 2.0 TFSI engine is available with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission, while the 2.0 TDI engine is only available with the latter.
The 2.0 TFSI engine produces a spirited 165kW/350Nm, returning frugal efficiency figures of 6.7 litres per 100km (Sedan). The 2.0 TDI engine develops 130kW/380Nm, with even more impressive fuel efficiency, sipping just 5.3 litres per 100km (Sedan). Acceleration performance for both the 2.0 TFSI and 2.0 TDI models is stirring, at 6.4 and 7.9secs respectively (Sedan).
Standard equipment highlights for A4 Ambition quattro models include MMI Navigation plus with live traffic updates (and 20 GB hard drive and 2 x SD card slots), 18-inch alloy wheels, Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights, along with Sports steering wheel fitted with shift paddles. In addition, 3-zone climate control air-conditioning and leather-appointed upholstery are both standard.
In addition, the S line quattro models offer the same standard features as the Ambition models, plus additional equipment. Highlights include:
- S line exterior package
- 18-inch Audi exclusive alloy wheels in 5-twin-spoke design
- Sports front seats
- Parking system plus with rear view camera
- Convenience key
- Audi sound system (10 speakers, subwoofer, 6-channel amplifier, 180w output)
