ŠKODA approaches its 10th year in Australia with the most significant value offering in its history by adding extended factory warranty standard to the range.
As of this month all new ŠKODAs come with five year/unlimited kilometre warranty for all private, general fleet and government vehicles.
Additionally, the European brand offers five year/150,000km warranty on all vehicles purchased for commercial use.
Previously, ŠKODA standard warranty ran for three years with an additional two avalable as a cost option. Five years is now standard.
ŠKODA - which last year won five major Australian auto and publishing industry awards to add to its long list - is among the few European brands in this country to have permanently extended its warranty from three years to five.
ŠKODA Australia Managing Director Michael Irmer said the extension of warranty to five years will change perceptions of the brand.
"Given that some 50 per cent of our customers were going for the optional extended warranty, it was logical that we add it to all models as standard," Mr Irmer said.
"A ŠKODA is not only more economical to run and service than some rival Japanese vehicles, its warranty now exceeds their standard by two years. Our cars require servicing at 12 months/15,000km – not six months/10,000km, and can offer a worry-free Guaranteed Future Value finance option on every car."
"Car cliches die hard, but ŠKODA's new offering challenges even the most complacent to see what's simply clever."
