Volvo Cars wish to announce that Kevin McCann has resigned from his position with Volvo Car Australia Pty Ltd effective from Monday, 30 October 2017. Volvo Cars thank Kevin for his efforts over his years of service with the Company and wish him well with his future endeavours
Mr. Stephen Connor has been appointed acting Managing Director, Volvo Car Australia effective October 31, 2017. Stephen joined Volvo in May 2017 as Sales Director. Stephen has twenty years of automotive experience within Australia and the United Kingdom. He has held roles in dealer and OEM NSC operations in the areas of General Management, Sales, Network, Used Cars and Financial Services.
In his role of acting Managing Director, Stephen will report to Mr. Jari Kohonen Vice President, Region Asia-Pacific Volvo Car Group.

For the 2016 financial year, Volvo Car Group recorded an operating profit of 11,014 MSEK (6,620 MSEK in 2015). Revenue over the period amounted to 180,672 MSEK (164,043 MSEK). For the full year 2016, global sales reached a record 534,332 cars, an increase of 6.2 per cent versus 2015. The record sales and operating profit cleared the way for Volvo Car Group to continue investing in its global transformation plan.
