Kumho Tyres has launched its first new premium tyre store concept with the opening of the Kumho Platinum dealer at Argy Tyres at Broadmeadow in Newcastle.

Kumho's new Platinum dealer outlets will bring a higher level of customer service and facilities with Kumho branding assuring tyre buyers of professional service and advice.

The Kumho Platinum outlet concept has been designed to showcase the innovation and reputation of Kumho and to market the full range of Kumho tyres to consumers demanding better service and facilities.

The new Argy Tyres Kumho Platinum Store was officially opened by general manager, overseas marketing for Kumho Mr DJ Lee and Kumho Australia managing director Mr Edward Cho at a special ceremony on October 11th.

According to Mr Cho, Argy Tyres was selected as the first Kumho Platinum Tyre store because of the company's professionalism, it commitment to Kumho and its strong track record of customer service.

"Argy Tyres has shown that it is committed to providing the highest level of customer service and to raising the standard of presentation and facilities at its tyre outlets," said Mr Cho.

"The Argy Tyres Kumho Platinum store in Broadmeadow will be the template for the Kumho Platinum concept as it is rolled out throughout our Australian dealer network," said Mr Cho.

"Argy Tyres is a very professional retailer with stores in convenient locations, customer friendly facilities and well trained staff who deliver great service.

"The Hunter region has been a very important market for Kumho over the past 30 years so it is appropriate that we launch our Platinum concept there.

"I am pleased to congratulate David Rishardson and his team at Argy Tyres on the great job they have done in bringing the concept to reality," Mr Cho added.

According to Argy Tyres CEO David Richardson the chance to establish the first Kumho Platinum Store is a real honour and will help expand the awareness of Kumho's range of quality tyres.

Argy Tyres is an independent tyre and automotive group which operates five stores in the Hunter and on the Central Coast.

The new Argy Tyres Kumho Platinum outlet in Broadmeadow joins the company's other Kumho outlets at Glendale, Toronto, West Gosford and Toukley.

The new Kumho Platinum store is located next to Ausgrid Stadium, home of the Newcastle Knights and Newcastle Jets on the corner of Griffiths and Turton Roads Broadmeadow and features of off street parking as well as a family friendly waiting area which includes TV along with tea and coffee facilities.

Kumho will be rolling the Platinum Store concept out across the country selecting the most committed and professional dealers to ensure the Kumho Platinum concept represents the best service and facilities in the retail tyre market.

Kumho has established its credentials in motor sport competition with the company winning the right to supply control tyres for the Bosch Australian Rally Championship, the Australian formula Three Championship and the Shannons V8 Touring Car Championship, while most recently British rally star Mark Higgins won round two of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship, the International Rally of Queensland using Kumho tyres.
