Inspired by the Bonneville-based café racers of the 1960s
and named after the Hampshire race track where Triumph enjoyed so
much success, the Thruxton is Triumph's sportiest classic and a
machine for the real connoisseur.
With its low slung handlebars, alloy rimmed wire wheels and
central racing stripe, the Thruxton looks ready to roll onto the
grid at a classic motorcycle race. Thumb the starter and enjoy the
satisfying growl that only a British parallel-twin can provide.

motorcycle creates a bigger emotion than the Triumph Thruxton.
The Bonneville's 865cc eight-valve DOHC parallel-twin has been
tuned for performance in the Thruxton and delivers 69PS thanks to
its revised camshaft profile and high-compression pistons.
Handling is composed and precise too, with 41mm forks and
chromed twin shock absorbers adjustable for preload and delivering
a tailored sporting ride to match the looks. A fully floating 320mm
front disc brake equips the Thruxton with far more power and
assurance than the 1960s bikes it pays homage to.
As one would expect from the flagship to Triumph's classic line,
the Thruxton is dripping with neat touches and quality components.
Neat bar end mirrors complement the minimalist lines, while
lightweight alloy rims, bar mounted instruments, sporty graphics
and racy megaphone silencers ensure the Thruxton remains faithful
to the café racers of the period.
A range of genuine Triumph accessories are available for the
Thruxton to further increase its sporting prowess. These include an
aerodynamic bikini fairing and, for those wishing to take to the
race track, a beautifully crafted race exhaust from Arrow Special
Parts which increases performance and the aural tone from the
parallel-twin engine.
Two premium colour options are available for the Thruxton:
Diablo Red with a white race stripe or Phantom Black with a classic
gold stripe.
