It's back to business for Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) with D-MAX and MU-X production resuming in Thailand and all Dealers open and undertaking new initiatives to safeguard against the pandemic locally.
As a precautionary response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Isuzu Motors Corporation (Thailand) Ltd. (IMCT), temporarily suspended all production facilities on the 13th April 2020. With the health and safety of all staff in mind and a raft of new safety initiatives introduced to the plant's operation, the Samrong Planthas successfully resumed production from the 5th May 2020, with the Gateway Plant scheduled to reopen from the 18thMay 2020.
Isuzu UTE Australia Managing Director, Hiroyasu Sato said, "I am really pleased to hear news of the factory reopening as this is a sign that the global COVID-19 situation is improving. We of course understand that under current situation the safest place is still at home. But a lot of essential businesses and workers have to keep moving – so if you are looking to buy a new D-MAX or MU-X or service an existing one, Isuzu UTE Dealers are committed to help in any way they can."
As we see the country start to flatten the curve on COVID-19, Isuzu UTE Australia has launched a pragmatic and timely 'we are open' campaign—reminding the public of the initiatives the IUA Dealer network are undertaking to ensure the health and safety of Customers and Staff alike.
Not only are the vast majority of IUA Dealers open to full capacity, providing sales, service and parts support to our customers, but where possible, Dealers are offering and implementing a number of initiatives to safeguard the health of staff and customers. Participating Dealers are going the extra mile to deliver a test drive to Customers' homes and provide contactless or remote sales support. Pick-up and drop-off of vehicles for servicing is now widely available and of course all vehicles and Dealerships are sanitised thoroughly, with staff practicing recommended social distancing measures and offering cashless payment options.
As the situation continues to evolve rapidly, IUA recommends that for any vehicle maintenance or sales enquiries during this time, customers should first contact their local Dealer by phone or email using contact details found through our website www.isuzuute.com.au/find-a-dealer. Their local Dealer will then discuss what options are available and assess the best solution to deal with the query.
