2 May 2011 - When an illustrious motorcycle
manufacturer such as Honda puts out a new line of genuine riding
gear hand selected from European designs specifically for the
Australian market, riders can be assured it will tick all the marks
for style as well as quality.
More than two years in the making, Honda Australia's first ever
complete branded road riding range features textile jackets and
pants for both men and women.
Each of the racing and touring jackets and pants are constructed
from the highest grade fabrics, and feature built in protectors and
liners offering exceptional value for money.
As a welcome addition to the range, Honda has also partnered
with this country's most respected independent manufacturer,
Draggin Jeans, to produce branded riding jeans featuring an
embroidered Honda logo and custom stitching.
Utilising a technologically advanced hybrid of Military Kevlar
and Dyneema protective fibres, Draggin Jeans have a long and
celebrated reputation for providing the best protection from the
road should the rider have an unfortunate spill.
"The rider gear market is swarming with plenty of substandard
gear in terms of quality, so our aim was to import a superlative
line that Honda riders could wear confidently on the roads in
Australia, regardless of the climate conditions," said Honda
Australia's Accessories Product Manager, Graeme Baynes.
"This is dynamic wear that doesn't compromise on quality or
comfort, whilst protecting the rider from the elements as well as
the road."
Sportbike riders will be particularly interested in the hard
wearing polyester and leather Racing Jacket featuring factory team
colours as well a waterproof membrane, ventilation system, night
time reflectors, adjustable sleeve width and zipper for connection
to Honda riding pants.
The Honda Delta is a more subdued retro inspired jacket offering
the same features as the racing style in a black, grey and white
colour scheme. Matching breathable pants made of a hard wearing
polyester offer a detachable thermo liner, knee protectors,
3M-Scotchlite reflectors for night time safety and more.
For riders who are looking for the ultimate gear for longer
rides, Honda has imported two new touring styles - the Transalp
Jacket and the World Travel Jacket.
Both offer a heavy duty denier outer fabric with exceptionally
good abrasion resistance and longevity, CE approved protection for
the shoulders and elbows, as well as a membrane that keeps the
garment waterproof and windproof. A detachable Thermolite lining
provides additional warmth whilst the ventilation system in both
jackets features intake vents on the chest as well as the back.
"We also wanted to bring in something specifically designed for
women from the European range that was great looking whilst also
being hard wearing," Mr Baynes said.
In addition to a ladies version of the World Travel jacket,
Honda is offering the Candy Jacket featuring a feminine chic style
with tailored fit and waist belt, as well as padding that can be
removed to achieve a casual style.
Honda is introducing the full line at highly competitive prices,
ranging from $220 to $499. All items are available through dealers
nationally now.
