The Honda CRF450R continues to dominate in off road racing
disciplines such as Supercross, motocross, desert, and endurance
racing due to its light weight and effortless manoeuvrability.
For 2010, Honda has tweaked a number of small, yet significant
workings to keep their premier motocross machine performing ahead
of the competition.
Modifications to the engine and suspension systems have allowed
Honda's engineers to achieve even better balance and control,
offering every rider a blast of winning performance.
Those improvements include new ECU programming and fuel
injection settings to improve off-on throttle response when exiting
corners, ultimately providing better control.
The CRF450R also features a new engine auto decompressor system
which enables easier kick starting, as well as a new front fork oil
seal, oil quantity and valving, each of which contribute to overall
improved feel.
The rear damper features a redesigned piston and compression
adjuster to provide for a smoother ride and stronger acceleration
over rugged terrain.
Further improvements include the addition of two attachment tabs
for the air filter to offer secure installation, plus a new
connecting system for the HRC fuel injection setting tool,
eliminating the need to remove the fuel tank.
With a relatively long swingarm, low centre of gravity and wide
rear tyre, the CRF450R offers a highly controlled feel and makes
confident, accurate jumping and manoeuvring achievable for all
riders.
Its slim frame features rounded lower parts for extra ground
clearance, whilst the revolutionary ergonomic design creates an
open, comfortable ride position.
All of these features make for a highly accessible motocross
machine, suitable for a wide range of riders, regardless if the
competition is personal or professional.
