9 September 2008 - The recently crowned AMCN
"Motorcycle of the Year" - the CBR1000RR - has always been renowned
for its unique look, strong performance and responsive control.
For those who require additional braking control, Honda
Australia has now brought over an ABS version to offer increased
confidence and stability.
ABS is also available on the Supersport Championship winning
CBR600RR, with both motorcycles featuring a simplified version of
Honda's combined brake system and advanced Anti-Lock Brake System
for smoother, more confident braking performance in virtually all
riding conditions.
The latest CBR1000RR Fireblade features an even more compact,
mid-displacement-sized form, and phenomenally lighter weight in the
design and manufacture of its frame, engine and chassis
components.
Its innovative performance-enhancing developments like a new
underslung exhaust system and new 'assist slipper' clutch make it
faster than ever, and more comfortable to extend one's riding
capabilities on the street and on race circuits the world over.
The 2008 CBR600RR boasts its most radical redesign since the
introduction of the RR in 2003, and is highlighted by a whole new
engine, frame and bodywork that results in a smaller, lighter,
more-powerful model with a class-leading power-to-weight ratio and
unparalleled performance.
ABS models will have a slightly higher price tag than the
standard version and are due for delivery in early 2009.
