The mighty Honda CTX200 Bushlander is considered a 'must have'
by farmers across the nation due to its reputation for reliability,
quality, durability, comfort and economy.
Now with a promotional price tag of just $3,990, the CTX200 is
more attractive than ever.
The new price represents a saving of approximately $1000, a much
needed boost for land-workers, some of whom are facing particularly
difficult times.
In designing the Honda CTX200 Bushlander, the primary objective
was to create an easy to operate model that is comfortable to ride,
and can handle the extremely diverse conditions on Australian rural
properties.
That's why characteristics of the XR range of motorcycles such
as reliability, strong engine performance, and good handling and
suspension have become an integral part of the latest release
CTX200.
As a testament to its unbelievable performance, 64 year-old
farmer Frank Wheeler decided to put the bike to the harshest test
possible.
Wheeler recently travelled 13,000 kms across Australia from the
east coast to west and back on the Honda agriculture bike. He also
fitted it out with a self-built sidecar 'outfit'.
'It was definitely been one of my more fascinating journeys,"
said Wheeler. "I survived a cyclone as well as heat of up to
55° Celsius, and still managed to finish five weeks earlier
than I had first planned!"
As far as the CTX200 Bushlander, Wheeler says the bike performed
flawlessly. "It is a tough little machine for sure."
Features include a front hydraulic disc brake, large front forks
and a Pro-Link type rear suspension, whilst the bike is powered by
a compact, single cylinder, air cooled, 4-stroke engine.
Its wide ratio 5-speed transmission is perfectly suited to the
extremes of farm use, including the slow walking pace of a dairy
herd or higher transport speeds for longer distances
A "big foot" side stand on each side of the motorcycle prevents
sinking into soft ground, and a heavy duty rear carry rack with up
to 20kg capacity allows the rider to carry light loads safely.
