In accord with Motorcycling Australia's announcement this week
regarding junior off road racing, Honda Australia will have their
hot new CRF150R and CRF150RB (Big Wheel) motocross bikes available
in Dealers by early October.
Similar to the Federation Internationale de
Motocyclisme [FIM], the international controlling body for
motorcycle sport, the MA Board has approved 4-stroke 150cc machines
to compete in various off-road competitions nationwide from the
middle of next month.
In keeping with the revolutionary CRF450R and CRF250R, Honda's
new 150cc four-stroke machines are destined to create a winning
history in their own right.
Riders will find the bike's lightweight, high-tensile steel
frame and powerful four-stroke 149cc liquid-cooled four-valve
Unicam engine offers them impressive power across a wide rpm range
for easy-to-control operation. Reviewers are already describing it
as one of the "trickest stock junior motocross bikes out
there."
At a recommended retail price of only $6790 for the CRF150R and
$7190 for the RB version, these models are destined to make a
serious impact on the small capacity motocross market.
The new 150cc machines will be eligible to race from mid-October
2006. Honda's CRF150R's will be available from early October.
