Great Wall Motor Group (the owner of HAVAL, Great Wall, WEY and ORA brands) has signed a 50:50 joint venture (JV) with BMW AG to produce the Mini EV.
Under the terms of the $AUD 1 billion JV, Great Wall Motor Group (GWM) and BMW AG will research, develop, manufacture and sell new energy vehicles for China and export.
The investment includes the development of a state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Jiangsu near Shanghai in China which is expected to produce 160,000 vehicles P/A.
