The CITROËN Grand C4 Picasso has won yet another award – recently announced as the 2014 Auto Express MPV of the Year.

The CITROËN Grand C4 Picasso was chosen as the top people mover out of 10 other MPVs including the Renault Grand Scenic, Kia Carens and the Ford S-Max.

The award adds to an extensive list that the CITROËN Grand C4 Picasso has already won including Top Gear magazine's "Family car of the year for 2013", the "Golden Steering Wheel for 2014" in the MPV category by Auto Bild magazine, the "What car? MPV of the Year" and "Best in Category" in the transport section of the Australian Good Design Awards.

Auto Express judges praised the way the CITROËN Grand C4 Picasso: "effortlessly combines form and function. At the core of the Picasso are its abilities as an extremely versatile family-friendly holdall. The cabin is vast and packed with thoughtful touches."

"Of course, you wouldn't expect an MPV to drive like a sports car, but the confidence-inspiring C4 always feels capable and composed, allowing you to throw it around like a family hatchback. However, it's the comfort and refinement that really steal the show, as the hushed Picasso floats serenely over bumps that would send shockwaves through rivals," the judges commented.

The CITROËN Grand C4 Picasso is available in Australia in one highly specified package. Priced from $43,990 the Grand C4 Picasso is fitted with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel that consumes just 4.5L/100km and CO2 emissions of just 117g/km. The CITROËN Grand C4 Picasso was the first diesel car ever to be awarded a five-star diesel vehicle in the latest round of ratings by the Green Vehicle Guide.

The CITROËN Grand C4 Picasso also offers Australian buyers an unprecedented level of reassurance with a six-year unlimited kilometre warranty; six year's roadside assist and six years capped price servicing.

The Grand C4 Picasso's smaller sibling, the C4 Picasso, was also commended in the awards.
