BMW Motorrad will launch the new BMW C 400 X and BMW C 400 GT to the local market in Q1, 2025.
These two premium offerings cater to distinct rider preferences and needs. The BMW C 400 X is designed to excel in urban environments, emphasising dynamic performance and responsive handling. Conversely, the BMW C 400 GT is tailored for touring, providing an enhanced level of comfort and extended range to accommodate long-distance rides.
Robust single-cylinder powertrain with EU-5+ Homologation and ABS Pro with DBC, DTC and MSR as standard
At the heart of the powertrain is the proven single-cylinder engine, delivering 25kW (34 hp) of power at 7,500rpm and maximum torque of 35Nm at 5,750rpm. The BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT scooters boast a continuously variable CVT transmission and a high-rigidity powerset swing arm to deliver smooth, dynamic power. With the latest EU-5+ homologation, these scooters are primed for exhilarating, carefree riding experiences.
Both the BMW C 400 X and BMW C 400 GT are now equipped with BMW Motorrad ABS Pro as standard to offer unparallelled control when braking. The Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) function linked to the ABS Pro system provides a highly sensitive and stable braking response, ensuring the best possible deceleration even during cornering. It automatically prevents the throttle valve from opening if the sensor detects a deceleration value that is inconsistent with the driver's acceleration request, keeping the vehicle stable and reducing braking distance.
Additionally, the Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR) systems are standard, further enhancing safety during acceleration and coasting by mitigating slippery conditions and excessive rear wheel slip.
New 6.5-inch TFT display as standard and user-friendly navigation to ensure a smooth journey
A 6.5-inch TFT display now comes as standard equipment on both the BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT. As part of Connectivity Pro, available on the C 400 GT ion variant, users have a larger 10.25-inch display.
The display integrates seamlessly with the BMW Motorrad Connected app and is operated through a multi-controller located on the left handlebar. This allows the rider to safely and conveniently navigate, make calls, and listen to music via Bluetooth by connecting their smartphone and helmet to the BMW Motorrad communication system. These features can be accessed without the need to install additional apps.
If there is an active Bluetooth connection to a standard smartphone, the rider can enjoy listening to music while riding and charge the smartphone in the actively cooled storage compartment. In addition, the free BMW Motorrad Connected app offers practical arrow navigation directly via the TFT display.
Expanded storage space and new accessories such as a 43.5-litre top case for added convenience
The BMW C 400 X and BMW C 400 GT now offer increased storage capacity under the seat, with the C 400 X gaining three litres and the C 400 GT, including its front pockets, gaining up to 12 litres of additional storage space.
The BMW C 400 GT now comes as standard with a manually adjustable windshield and an optional luggage rack is available as an accessory.
The new top case offers 43.5 litres of storage space, which is 13.5 litres more than the previous version. Additionally, the payload capacity has been increased from five kg to 10 kg. The top case features interior lighting and a USB charging port, and optional accessories include a back cushion and painted side panels. The top case is attached to the vehicle via a vibration-decoupled luggage rack.
Finally, new original BMW Motorrad accessories, such as body protectors and hand guards, are available to complement the range.
In addition to the basic Blackstorm metallic version, the BMW C 400 X has a new “Rugged” model variant as an option.
For those who prefer a more elegant and dynamic exterior, the BMW C 400 X is now also available in the new “Rugged” model variant. While the basic Blackstorm metallic version has a black/grey seat, black rims and brake calipers, this variant comprises the Kalamata metallic matte body colour. It also includes red rims, tapes and tyres with off-road design and golden brake calipers at the front.
For a more robust look, a tinted windshield, a red-black seat bench, stainless steel footboard inserts and hand guards are available as optional accessories.
For a more elegant look, the BMW C 400 GT is also available in the new “Exclusive” model variant.
Similarly to its counterpart offering, the C 400 GT not only offers the Blackstorm metallic version but also an additional “Exclusive” model variants which has a Diamondwhite metallic body colour, golden rims, tapes and a black seat bench with embroidered emblem in the rim colour. This further complements the golden brake callipers at the front and add an air of elegance.
A floor projection of the vehicle logo or stainless-steel footboard inserts are also available as optional accessories.
