Volvo Car Australia has announced the appointment of Nick Connor as its new Managing Director.
Mr Connor brings more than 20 years' car industry experience with Volvo Cars and Polestar to the role. He was previously Volvo Cars' Vice President in charge of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) major markets based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Prior to this he was the CEO of Polestar, the high-performance car brand which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Cars. Mr Connor is also a former Managing Director of Volvo Car UK, the fourth biggest market for Volvo globally.

"Volvo has a long and established heritage in Australia," said Mr Connor.
"In Australia Volvo has been reinvigorated as a luxury European brand with the launch of award winning cars like XC90, S90 and the All-New XC60 which was recently voted Wheels' Car of The Year for 2018. With the imminent launch of the brand new XC40 it is an incredibly exciting time to be leading Volvo Cars in Australia.
"I look forward to working closely with our dealer network to capitalise on these fantastic new products and on the recognition to deliver a greater share of the luxury new car market in Australia."
