Suzuki Australia is set to introduce its first-ever four-stroke mini-ATV with the upcoming release of the all-new LT-Z50 QuadSport.

Inspired by the championship-winning QuadSport Z400, the new LT-Z50 offers a sporty look to excite any junior fun-seeker while incorporating a range of safety features designed especially for young, novice riders.

Suzuki has also packed all the quality of its full-size, high-performance ATV’s into the compact junior package of the QuadSport Z50.

“Installing a four-stroke powerplant into this junior ATV machine is a first for Suzuki,” Glyn Griffiths, National Marketing Manager – Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia said.

“Following the four-stroke revolution in the world of motocross, Suzuki is now transplanting this technology into other applications that have conventionally used two-stroke configurations.

“It is widely accepted that this is the direction for the future and Suzuki is again leading the way.

“As well as being a cleaner, more environmentally responsible option, the four-stroke offers excellent bottom-end torque and more predictable power delivery for young riders.”

Featuring a lightweight 49cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine designed for durability and low maintenance, the QuadSport Z50 offers quiet, smooth-running for a safe and fun ATV experience.

A keyed ignition switch with a removable key keeps parents in control of the action, while the convenient electric starter system includes an engine stop switch for enhanced safety, plus a light-action recoil starter fitted as a backup for added peace of mind.

Suzuki’s simple screw-type throttle limiter allows maximum speed and power to be adjusted to suit rider ability, plus a tether-type remote engine-stop switch allows instant engine shutdown for ultimate rider safety.

Suzuki’s CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) automatic transmission provides smooth performance and easy operation, allowing young pilots to focus on riding instead of gear shifting.

Mirroring the toughness and durability of Suzuki’s adult ATV’s, the QuadSport Z50 features a strong, high-rigidity steel frame.

The QuadSport’s suspension features an independent single A-arm on the front and a single-shock swingarm at the rear to provide easy steering and a smooth, comfortable ride on varied terrain.

Abundant stopping power comes via large-diameter front drum brakes and a single rear drum to fill young riders with confidence.

The large 2.6 litre fuel tank means less time out for fuel stops while the easy-to-remove seat allows for simplified maintenance.

Expanding Suzuki’s outstanding mini-ATV range, the QuadSport Z50 will line up next to the ever-popular Suzuki QuadSport 80, QuadSport 50 and QuadRunner 50 two-stroke machines.

Coming to Australia in Champion Yellow with sports graphics and a six-month unlimited-kilometre warranty, the 2006 Suzuki LT-Z50 is due to arrive in October with pricing to be announced closer the arrival date.
