Subaru Australia achieved record May sales of 2,537 units, according to official VFACTS sales figures released today.
It takes Subaru's year-to-date sales to 11,740 vehicles - 670 ahead of last year.
Top performer in the range was Impreza, with 728 sales, representing 5.2 per cent of the Small car market in May.
Just weeks away from the launch of the second-generation model, Forester sales remained consistently strong at 710 units, giving it 15.7 per cent of the All Terrain Wagon Compact segment in May.
Liberty sold 554, capturing 17 per cent of the Medium car market in May.
Outback sales also continued strongly, with 545 units giving it 10 per cent of the All Terrain Wagon Medium market in May.
