• Ultra-low km 2017 HSV GTS-R attracts bid of $138,000
  • Rare Tesla Roadster Sport gets 14 bids already, currently at $105,000
  • 1967 Aston Martin DB6 in non-running 'project' condition sees $175,000 so far
  • $1.402 million offered for Vic number plate '52' after 2 days of bidding

Quality classics from Europe and Australia have attracted strong opening bids in Shannons current Online Autumn Auction, which closes on Tuesday, May 30.

These include a very rare 1993 Porsche Type 964 911 Speedster (one of only six in Australia - $380,000); three Ferraris – a superb 1999 550 Maranello Coupe ($260,000), a beautiful 1994 456GT- one of just 31 right hand drive 6-speed manual cars made ($115,000); a 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo ($141,000); a collectible Ford XB Falcon 'John Goss Special' Hardtop $140,000) and a rare 2017 HSV GTS-R sedan that has covered just 2,023km ($138,000).

Other classics to garner strong bidder interest include a Lotus Elise-based Tesla Roadster Sport Automatic (14 bids - $105,000), while a stylish 1965 Volvo P1800S has also received good bidding with its  36 bids to date topped by $48,500.

The 26 numeric number plates In the auction have also attracted big money, with an offer of $1.402 million for VIC '52' and $1.25 million for NSW '31'. The early Victorian plate '7799' sits on $311,000 after 28 bids, while 64 bids headed by

$195,00 have been offered for the Victorian 'lucky' plate '13.888'.

There has also been plenty of interest in the 29 motorcycles in the auction, with the top bid so far being $46,500 for a restored 1926 Indian Big Chief 1200cc Twin.
