Reaffirming its reputation for reliability, the Isuzu D-MAX has been awarded with one of the industry's most coveted accolades, winning the 'Best Work Ute' category in the Delivery Magazine Best LCV Awards for 2020.
Revered as one of Australia's foremost authorities on light commercial vehicles (LCV), Delivery Magazine has played host to the annual awards for the past 14 years—assessing a suite of LCV models against a criterion that best reflects the intended purpose.
Delivery Magazine Managing Editor, Chris Mullett, said that the D-MAX was crowned the 'Best Work Ute', after out-scoring the competition in the judges' stringent selection criteria and has genuinely built a reputation for reliability amongst owners.
"An impressive record of reliability and durability backed by interviews with mechanics and fleet operators as well as the views of owners enables the Isuzu D-MAX to win Delivery Magazine's Award for the Best Work Ute 2020," said Mr Mullett in the official media release announcing the awards.
Through interviews with fleet operators and mechanics who work on these vehicles every day, Delivery Magazine have backed-up their award choices with real world opinions from actual owners and drivers—which speaks volumes about the authenticity of the awards.
"With a heritage born by its association with Isuzu Trucks, the D-MAX is universally recommended by mechanics and auto electricians as the most reliable, dependable and serviceable ute or pick up on the market," wrote Mr Mullett, in Delivery Magazine, Issue 87.
Going the extra mile in choosing a winner, the prestigious annual award measures criteria that owners' actually value—focusing on "fit for purpose" attributes—which is assessed by the Delivery Magazine editorial team over the course of the year.
"The light-commercial vehicle market is very focused on how the right specification of vehicle can benefit its operation through its working life. Safety, technology and innovation, combined with reliability and functional fitness are the factors that contribute to lowering the total cost of operation," continued, Mr Mullett.
Within the winners' circle the Isuzu D-MAX shared company with other top-selling LCV nameplates, with the winners indicative of strong sales results within their respected LCV segments.
According to the National sales reports by VFACTS, the Isuzu D-MAX ranks as the second best-selling 1-tonne ute in the 4x2 segment, with the 4x4 model holding a resounding fifth position.
