Two minutes is not long, but it's enough time for Land Rover to celebrate a motoring icon. The Range Rover has pioneered design, refinement and engineering innovation since 1970 and Land Rover has showcased the evolution of its luxury SUV through four generations with a unique animation lasting only 120 seconds.

Land Rover has reached new heights in its new vehicle technology testing. World-renowned British adventurer and well-known Land Rover owner Bear Grylls took to the skies to put the New Discovery's Intelligent Seat Fold technology to the ultimate test. The system allows Discovery owners to configure their vehicle seating through the InControl Remote Premium app on their smartphone from anywhere in the world - even in mid-air.

Around the world testing of the new Land Rover Discovery.

Speeds of 155kph, 75 per cent gradients and a 2,170metre descent, the Range Rover Sport has conquered it all on an Alpine ski course that has been the downfall of many skiers. The Range Rover Sport is the ultimate luxury performance SUV and the first-ever production vehicle to attempt the fearsome ski run. Piloted by renowned race and stunt driver Ben Collins, the all-terrain super-SUV tackled the treacherous terrain on the 14.9km downhill route at Mürren in Switzerland, completing it in 21min 36sec.

Camouflage kids: unique wrap designed for New Discovery by the children of Land Rover's designers and engineers.

Using capability for a cause, Land Rover is helping the Red Cross to reach thousands of people in the remote region of Chiapas, Mexico, preparing communities living under threat of natural disaster. Find out more: https://media.ifrc.org/ifrc/land-rover/

Jaguar Land Rover has fitted 'virtual eyes' to intelligent pods to understand how humans will trust self-driving vehicles, as research studies suggest that as many as 63% of pedestrians worry about how safe it will be to cross the road in the future.

Land Rover has embarked on an unexpected expedition to preserve the precious African rhinoceros and its habitat by joining an urban rhino trail across London. A gleaming Land Rover rhino model, embellished by Land Rover's Chief Design Officer Gerry McGovern, made its debut in central London in the latest collaboration of a 15-year relationship with Tusk. The unique 1.2m-long rhino sculpture was towed into Trafalgar Square in support of the Tusk Rhino Trail, to aid conservation projects for the endangered species. The initiative involves 21 sculptures donated and decorated by leading figures from the worlds of art and design installed at prominent locations across the capital.

Land Rover has further strengthened its commitment to international rugby with a world-first sponsorship agreement. The Rugby World Cup 2019™ Worldwide Partner is now a major sponsor of the Wheelchair Rugby World Championships too – the first time a backer has supported both tournaments. The new deal began at the 2018 GIO IWRF Wheelchair Rugby World Championships in Australia, where Japan beat the hosts in the gold medal match at the Olympic Park in Sydney.

The atrium seating at the London museum has been re-upholstered with 18 original materials used in Land Rovers from 1948 to 2018 for the Material Innovation installation. They include the original fabric from the first Land Rover (1948), the cloth designed with Sir Paul Smith for his special edition Land Rover Defender (2015) and an innovative, sustainable textile developed by Kvadrat for the Range Rover Velar (2017) as a premium alternative to leather.

Land Rover has addressed the needs of a remote Scottish island in a move that could save lives. As part of its 70th anniversary year of activity, Land Rover sent a team of expert Experience drivers and volunteers to Mull in a fleet of Land Rovers to deliver unique three-word address plaques from what3words to 2,000 properties on the island, many of which are in isolated areas. What3words is a British technology company that has divided the globe into a grid of 57 trillion 3m x 3m squares, each with a unique, easy-to-remember three-word address searchable via an app that even works offline.
